Dear friend, welcome to HCM!
RBCs in urine can be due to various causes like infection, trauma, stones, inflammation, tumour etc.
8/hpf may not be worrisome.
Did you have fever, pain on urination or in the back/ flanks?
Any difficulty urinating?
function tests done of late?
of 2/ hpf are normal and suggest no infection.
and medicines are not the causes here.
You may not take any action right now and may repeat a routine urine sample well collected mid stream.
You need to lower cholesterol
Take care. I hope I answered your query well.
Good luck !
Take care and please keep me informed of your progress.
