safe period is the period during which pregnancy doesn't occur.it is calculated by excluding fertile period.1st day of fertile period is calculated as shortest cycle minus 18 and last day is calculated as longest cycle minus 10.if any one cycle varies between 25 to 30 days,1st fertile day is 25 - 18 = 7 th day and last is 30 - 10 = 20 th day.that means chances of pregnancy is between 7th day and 20th day.rest are safe period.it is not very effective.failure rate is 25%.please do not rely on this method very much.
