Underwent Colonoscopy. Having Lower Pain With Severe Pain During Bowel Movement. Treatment?
Yes. My husband has been suffering with bad lower pain. He hada colonosopy done today. Last night during the prep stage he was vomiting up the stuff you drink. His bowels moved. But had crying pain with it. Everything came back fine . We left the hospital;. He at lunch, drank lots of fluild. Laiddown. Got him up for supper. He ate not alot. Went to the bathroom. Just water came out. Now he looks like he is going to POP. He is in a lot of pain. Had ct scans they saw nothng. What should I DO.
Hi, Thanks for posting your query. With the available described symptoms, there could be possibility of spasm in intestinal muscles. Presence of all normal investigations with defined symptoms suggests the diagnosis. You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ gastroenterologist and should go for thorough check up. He should also go for x ray abdomen to rule out fecolith impaction. He should also go for liver function test, serum amylase. treatment depends on exact diagnosis. He should take dicyclomine, chlordiazepoxide, clidinium bromide and mebeverine. He should take soft diet along with yogurt. Avoid oily food. citrus fruits. Take care, Dr. Mayank Bhargava
