Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Two stents are there, I think they have prescribed lipid lowering agents with other heart related drugs.

For a person ,aged 58 years 1500 calories are sufficient in the diet.
Diet adjust according to eating habits as ,

Carbohydrates=====60-70% ( complex form as fructose(fruits), starch( potato).
Protein==========12 -20 % or 0.8 gm/ kg body weight. ( milk fat free, cheese( paneer),

fat=============less than 20 % with cholesterol less than 200 mg saturated fat less than 5%.
Fiber ============ 45 gms/day.
vitamins and minerals supplements necessary as calories are less than 1500 kcal/day.

Now question is how, to adjust and divides calories/ day (1500 kcal/day).

Divide as follow,

450 calories in breakfast,
450 calories in lunch,
600 calories in dinner

Now see calories wise values of food stuffs,
carbohydrate 3-5 kcal/gm
fat 9 kcal/gm
protein 4.5-6 kcal/gm.

As an example ,if someone eat 100 grams of protein it means he has taken 450-600 kcal.
100 grams GHEE have 900 kcal.

Now with this simple chart you can adjust the diet of your father according to the test and desire of patient.
Fried food, sugar , cholesterol rich food, are to be avoided.

Avoidance are ,
ghee,
butter,
salt,
fried food,
smoking,
wine,
over feeding.
Bland diet will suit.
Periodical check up is necessary.
Hope I have provided all information required by you.
If further any question I will help.
Good luck for your father.
