General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Pain with constipation after radical hysterectomy may suggest the following: Intestinal obstruction. Electrolyte imbalance. Hence I would advise you the following: Consult your Operating surgeon and get examined and investigated.

Ultrasonography and an X-ray of abdomen will tell about any intestinal obstruction, fecolith formation and so on. If there are fecoliths an enema may solve your problems.

If there are signs of intestinal obstruction then you need admission to the hospital to see for the conservative management with drip and suction method and if there is no relief then you may need a look-in procedure and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
General Surgeon
