Hi Vivek,

Firstly, Type 2 Diabetes is not treated with insulin unless the blood glucose levels are very high and are not controlled by oral hypoglycemic agents or tablets.

Type 2 DM is a disease of lifestyle. There is no complete cure for it.

It involves daily routine of exercise and diet to be followed which are more important than medicines in controlling the disease.

I am sorry, I still did not get why you are on Insulin instead of oral medications.

I wish to give you a personalized answer.

General & Family Physician Dr. Shreya Kunder's  Response
Hi there,
Are you sure you have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Because type 2 Diabetes is usually treated with tablets and it usually begins at a later age.
You are taking insulin already and young so the question. It maybe Type 1 diabetes.
Also as of today there is nothing like completely curing Diabetes. You can only control the blood glucose levels and avoid the complications of diabetes.
For your condition presently take proper care of your insulin regimen as told by your treating doctor. Include diabetic friendly diet. Consult a dietician if there is any doubt with the foods that can be taken.Avoid Junk and sugar laden foods.
Exercise should be a compulsory part of your routine but be careful that you dont overdo it to avoid reduction in glucose levels which also can be harmful.
Keep regular follow up with your consulting doctor and take up eye testing, kidney testing whenever your doctor recommends.
Take care

THESE ARE VERY COSTLY AND NOT 100% RESULTS GUARENTEED. SO AS PER NOW CONTROL YOUR DIABETES WELL..
