Two Children Sick. One Is On Antibiotics And Ear Drops For White Substance In Ear. Other Having Fever And Sore Throat. Relief For Both Kids?
I have two sick children, one is 12 years old she is on an antibiotic and also has ear drops. she went to the doctor on monday, I have not sent her to school as she is still in pain. there is a build up of a white substance in her ear. should she still be in pain?
My other child is 10years and she also has a temp and is complaining of a sore throat she is finding it difficult to swollow and breath.

for your 12 year child white substance can be due to infection in ear, get her ear examined for any source of infection. pain can be due to underlying infection.
for your 10 year old
1 give plenty water
2 salt water gargling
3 stab paracetamol 500 mg half tablet thrice daily if fever
4 syrup sinarest 5ml if cold and cough
5 not decreased on this medication you may have to start on antibiotics tab amoxicillin and clavuronic acid at 60 mg per kilogram in three divided dosages
