Welcome to HCM.
Lung cancer can be of different types. Depending upon the type of malignancy treatment regime varies. Some respond to chemotherapy while others respond well to radiotherapy while still others do not respond well to any kind of treatment.
The best person to decide what type of treatment is suitable for the particular patient and dosage requirement, is oncologist who is managing the case. It is best left to him and both advantages and disadvantages of a particular type of treatment has to be weighed carefully, noting that treatment should never be more disabling than the disease itself.
Wishing the patient all the best.

You'd be surprised but THC (marijuana) can slow down the spread of cancer and possibly prevent further cancer from occurring. Look it up if you don't believe me :)
