I would urge you to either revisit your doctor and request for a vaginal swab culture investigation or visit another doctor for a second opinion. As you have not provided your sexual status to me, it does make things a little difficult, but make surr you discuss the same with your doctor. If the vaginal swab test does not report anything conclusive then request for a urine culture and sensitivity examination which will help in finding the most suitable antibiotic to rapidly and accurately rid you of the infection.
