Total Bilirubin Is 1.89. What Is Its Significance?

My total bilirubin Is 1.89 mg/dl what is its significance I have lot of gas formation &bloating Bilirubin direct -0.3 mg/dlnormal range as per pathology report Bilirubin indirect -1.59 mg/dl normal range as per pathology report Total bilirubin -1.89. Thanks for writing to HCM

Total bilirubin level is increased.It is important to know other parameters of liver function test like SGPT,SGOT,GGT etc.
You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,viral markers,Lipid profile,RFT,Ultrasound of abdomen.
Empirically you can take tablet ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months.
You should avoid fatty food.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.
