Hi, The toes on both of my feet starting itching really badly a few weeks ago. They were red and swollen. I treated myself a week for athletes foot without any results. Two weeks in, my toes actually have the appearance of blisters and the itching and pain at times are unbearable. I went to my Dr. this past Tuesday and was diagnosed with what he thought to be a herpes virus. The medicine he prescribed was to start working within 48-72 hrs if diagnoses was correct. Its been 4 1/2 days and still no relief. Any idea? FYI...I was in the hospital on 9/23 for a hysterectomy . That s the only medical history that I really have.
hi i do not think it is herpes infection.i think it is only irritant dermatitis due to xerosis of skin.it can be cured by atarax 25 mg at night, antibiotic twice daily and application of diprovate g ointment can cure it.once infection is subsided use a moisteriser along with dipsalic until pigmentation is gone
