Thumping Heart Beat On Right Side Of Neck, Looks Like IVH, Had Gastric Bypass Surgery. Reason?
i have a thumping heart beat on the right side of my neck-recently had an ekg done which my primary said it looks like lvh since my last ekg -done a few years ago. had a work up in 2004 for gastric bypass surgery and everything was normal. my bp runs 120 s over 80 s-sometimes 140 s over 90 s. going for an echo on thursday.
** 1. If IVH is Intra ventricular hemorrhage, then In adults it require a great deal of force to cause IVH, the hemorrhage usually does not occur without extensive associated damage, and so the outcome is rarely good. 2. because history and investigations points towards Cardiac cause, thus probably would be LVH (left ventricular Hypertrophy), LVH may be a factor in determining treatment or diagnosis for other conditions like IHD (ischemic heart disease), Aortic stenosis,systemic hypertension,cardiomyopathy, hyper dynamic circulation. 3. please Consult with a Cardiologist who will work up the case for further follow up and management. 4. Echo will help in determining the type of LVH: concentric or eccentric.
