Throat Red And Painful With Swallowing Difficulty. Having Painful Gland On Neck Side. Are They Swollen Glands?
Hello..Difficulty swallowing..Throat looks red and is painful..Tongue is white..painful gland on left side of neck under jaw line..Been drinking tea, throat lozenger spray, gargaling and taking Alka Seltzer..I think I have swollen glands..Anything else I should be doing?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having inflammation of throat either pharyngitis or laryngitis. The swollen glands in the neck are because of secondary reaction to primary inflammation in the throat. The treatment you are taking like lozenge and gargling of mouth will help only for symptomatic relief. The disease requires treatment by oral antibiotics and decongestant drugs. Hence I advice you to consult ENT doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
