Terrible Back Pain, Feels Like Asthma Attacks, Numbness In The Back Of The Head. What Could It Be?

The back of my head feels numb if I am sitting in the same position for too long. I can feel a relief when it goes way. I have also been battleing horrible back pain, not constant but every so often. Doctors say they are spasms. When my back hurts I also feel as if I am having an asthma attack when it is really bad. Everyone says they are just back spasms and send me on my way. Any ideas?
