Hello, thanks for your posting. tenderness and lump in perennial region you are referring to can be carbuncle, a bacterial infection of a group of hair follicles caused by Staphylococcus aureus. It can be predisposed by can be caused by poor hygiene, skin friction from tight clothes or shaving, or diseases or conditions that cause a weakened immune system. However, lump and tenderness may be due to localized pus of any other cause, anal fissure should be ruled out. You are advised to visit concerned doctor for physical examination, biopsy and C/S may be needed. Once diagnosis is confirmed then it can be drained/removed or treated with antibiotics.
