Taking Medicine For Strep Throat, Swollen Gums And Throat, Redness, White Patches, Blister Inside Mouth
Hi and Thank you. My 16 year old daughter started taking penicillin vk 500 mg x 3 times a day for strep thorat 2 days ago and she now has really swollen gums with tender and meaty looking redness at the gum line and white patches and blister inside her mouth. Would love some advice. Her throat is swollen too. Thank you, ceressa

Swollen gums can be due to-poor oral hygiene /antibiotic sensitivity.
I would advice to get a thorough scaling done.
Maintain oral hygiene well.
Brush and floss your teeth daily.
Use ch l or he xi dine mouth rinses to gargle.
Plenty of fruits as well as vitamin c supplements has to be administered.
