Taking Lamactil For Epilepsy. Prescribed With Hydrocortisone For Itching On The Skin. What Are The Drug Interactions?
Would hydrocortisone acetate affect my epilepsy. I take 100mg of lamactil twice a day. I had a skin infection which was itching and the pharmacist recommended the hydrocortisone acetate cream. It has helped the rash but I have started suffering intermittently from hot flushes, headaches, dizziness and I had a seizure. Any suggestions?
You have not stated your personal habits, family history or co-morbidities, even age, gender...they could have an influence on the diagnosis and outcome... ‘Post hoc ergo propter hoc’ – meaning "after this, therefore because of this" / it is natural human tendency to associate things...but it may not be true always / This problem is theoretically possible and has been very rarely described. Give the benefit of doubt / stop it and see your neurologist...
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
