Taking Antibiotics And Pepto Bismo For Chronic Diarrhea. Suggestion?

haI ihave had chronic diarreha for over 4 weeks been on antibotics, pepto bismo [modium as soon as i eat i immediately have diarrea with no form very runny andpain in my mid=drift i had a tumor removed from my thoric spine in anuary at u o m hospital in ann arbor mich. and from that i can not walk.I am 78 years old. can you suggest what i can take to get over this diarrea. thank you mary lou malinowski

Hi, there is no relation with your operation of spine, it might be due to the medicines you are using for the convalescence. If any gastric irritants are there if you avoid them you can get relief from it.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe ofloxacin, ranitidine 300mg, and if still no relief, i give him loperamide when ever there is frequency. thank you.
