Taking Lyrica For RA Pain. Reduces Pain In Hips And Toes. What Do I Have?

My Rheumatologist has me on Lyrica to help with my RA pain. It does not help with joint pain, but is amazing for the pain I get from my hips to my toes. As long as I don't forget to take the Lyrica, I no longer have that pain that I really can't describe except it was horrible. I'm just wondering what kind of pain I have that the Lyrica would help so much. Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Lyrica is relieving your pain from the hip till toes. This is suggestive of a muscle pain like myositis. It can be a part of some autoimmune disorder. You can continue with the treatment as prescribed.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
