Taking Coversyl For High BP. Have Dry Cough. Any Suggestions?

Hello, I take Coversyl 4mg 1x per day for high BP.
I have developed a dry cough which happens from 1x per day to 4x per day.
I was told that this brand has the least side effects so I hoped it would work.
My BP is reasonable now but are their any long term problems by having this cough. It is very annoying when I am working (I deal with large groups of people).
Any suggestions? Cough candies or water don't always help.
Thanks.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Cough is a common and well known side effect of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors (ACEI) – Coversyl is one.
It is a class effect...
You have to change to a different class altogether – not a different drug from the same class...
There is no other way...
There are several alternative classes of drugs!
Discuss with his doctor..

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
