Taken Antibiotics For Tonsillitis. Swollen And Red Tonsil

I had bad case of tonsillitus couple weeks ago but don't usually get it bad hospital was going to keep me in on iv drip but said go home double up on dose of antibiotics and if feels better finish the course which it did and I thought it had gone but my left tonsil looks big and red still with minor white little dots where as my right tonsil has what looks like a white bit of skin below the tonsil and has what you would describe as a little white head on it please help many thanks .

It seems that infection of tonsils is not getting controlled by oral antibiotics alone, you would require blood culture to know the antibiotic sensitivity and IV antibiotics to control the infection.

If tonsillitis is very frequent and you have this since more than 2 years then tonsil removal surgery may be indicated

You should visit a ENT doctor for further evaluation and needful
