Taken Norethisterone To Delay Periods. Now No Period, White Vaginal Discharge, Abdominal Cramps, Constipation. Pregnant?

Hi, my girlfriend has recently been on holiday for two weeks. We have unprotected sex whenever we have it but have never fallen pregnant. Preliminaries aside, she took norestisterone for two weeks during holiday because she expected a period. Now she has returned, she has been back almost two weeks and has been off the tablets the same length of time, however, she has still not come on her period. She is also having vaginal discharge (white) and abdominal cramps. Also constipation. what are the chances she could be pregnant?

As far as I can remember we had sex before she went on holiday and before she started taking the tablets (however, I could be wrong about the tablets as she started taking them a few days before her expected period date to be sure she caught it in time), I ejaculated inside her. I am weighing this out in my head, I have a low fertility rate I think because I have variscele vein in my left testicle. I mean, she has never gotten pregnant beforehand... could she be now?

Regards.

Hello sir and welcome.

In such a scenario pregnancy status will always have to be checked, despite all the facts being against its likelihood.

This would be the right time to get it done using an early morning urine sample. This test might have to be repeated 2-3 times (i.e. 2-3 days) to get a confirmed report.

Her other symptoms match that of an infection, and infections are one of the most common causes for a delayed period. For this a urine analysis and vaginal swab test would be recommended.

It is also worth while for you to know that norethisterone can cause menstrual irregilarities, so if this were the case, be patient and your girl friends cycle should regularize by her next expected menstrual cycle.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
