Swelling In Back Above Inflammed Sciatica. X-ray Shows Narrowing At Base Of Spine And Stenosis. Due For Ultrasound. Suggest

I have a swelling in the left mid quadrant of my back above the inflamed sciatica. It doesn't hurt at all but the sciatica is excruciating. I'm having an ultrasound tomorrow but am very anxious. Could the swelling be from the severe sciatica attack? I've had X-rays that show a narrowing at base of spine and stenosis.

I think the ultrasound would be helpful. Some patients have hematoma's that may cause this pain and this may be visible with ultrasound. Futhermore, the imaging study may show some evidence of worsening of the stenosis.
