Swelling, Discoloration After Foot Injury. Tender, White Spot. Significance?

My foot was run over last week. I have had major swelling and discoloration and was told my 2nd metatarsal was shifted but there was no fracture. I have had a massive bruise since the injury and in the middle of the bruise there is a white spot more tender than any other part. it is not raised higher than the bruised area. what can the white area signify?

hello,
the white area signifies the area where there is decreased blood supply. That will gradually improve and you need to rest your leg and if possible have one more xray and consult your doctor if there is no change in your symptoms.Thank you.
