Two additions to your diet may help. They certainly helped me. Cod liver oil or fish oil and cinnamon. If you can't stand lots of cinnamon on your food I would recommend cinnamon tablets. Both kinds of cinnamon are triglyceride lowering. If you have a weight problem, getting rid of the excess pounds will make life easier. Cinnamon will make your weight drop some as it breaks down insulin resistance. Cut the sugar and the flour and the weight will slide more as well as your triglyceride level. Add fiber to your diet and it will speed the process up. The biggest culprits for pushing up the triglycerides are all the sugars and refined flours in our diets. If you cut the refined foods, your levels will drop.
