Suggest Ways For Detecting Ovulation

How do i know if im ovulating?
I was on the depo injection for 2x 12 week injection. Was due next injection February 2014 but chose to stop getting it. It took until September to bleed again. Was irregular until January. Jan/Feb/March had period 3rd of month, or thereabouts. No bleed in April. Now bleeding very heavy and pain worse than ever before.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
You had resumed your regular periods since January.There was a gap in April .followed by heavy bleeding-- having all the possibility of abortion.
Your inquiry about detection of ovulation is genuine . After ovulation is set in , you can expect a pregnancy.The ways to detect ovulation are-
- Monthly regular menstruation with normal menstrual bleeding,suggests ovulation.
- Basal body temprature graph desends down by half to one degree on the day of ovulation,& resumes it's nornal range on next day.
- Cervical mucus gets more sperm friendly ( clear/ thinner) so that they can swim easily- before ovulation. & gets back to it's normal consistancy after ovulation.
- Ovulation can be traced by LH surge test at home,
- Ovulation study- a series of USG scanning of ovaries finds date of ovulation.
