Suggest Treatments Protrusion Of My Anus After Constipation
I am a 29-year old female. I delivered my first baby 4 months back. Off late this problem is bothering me a lot. I find a small painless protrution out of my anus. I suspect if it is a partial prolapse of the rectum. I am having this for more than a month now. Not just during defecation, but it protrudes all the time. I had constipation for quite a long time, i have started taking more fluids now and i dont strain on bowel movements after having this problem. Can u please advice me whether there is any treatment for this other than surgery?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Some advice that I can give to you is:
-Drink plenty of water, and eat fruits, vegetables, and other foods that contain fiber. -Changes in diet often are enough to improve or reverse a prolapse of the lining of the rectum. -Do Kegel exercises to help strengthen the muscles of the pelvic area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
