i have a difficult time standing up straight after sitting down, it can take around 2 min. my lower to middle back area seems to be the main problem. it feels as though my spine has lost elasticity and hardened like an old hinge. i am 34 yrs old. I accidently fell off a two- storey roof 12 yrs ago, somehow i landed on my feet but it must have atleast jarred my back, not sure if that s it. what can i do to lesson the stiffness in the spine

Hi,

Fall from height even if you land on foot injuries can be present for hip and spine. There can be injury to intervertebral discs even if you don't have bony injuries. This will cause long standing pain and stiffness. Muscle relaxants, back muscle strengthening exercises and physiotherapy will be helpful for this. If you send the MRI of your back then it will be more helpful in commenting more on this.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
