Suggest Treatment To Increase Height

Hello, I m 17 years old with weight 59kg and height 4.4ft. I am trying to lose my weight but I m really worried about my height!!! It seems embarassing among my tall cousins and friends. My parents have average height (5.4ft, both parents) but mine is very short. When I was 5 years, my doctor told that I will get tall by time but I don t think he meant this. Since 6 months, I have started taking homoeopathic medicines that claim to increase height in 3 months, but I haven t noticed a change of an inch. I really need your kind help, but I can t afford any surgery or operation. Is there any medicine that can help me increase my height? I also take balanced and good diet, having all types of dairy products, vegetables and meat. Please, help me!!

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking.
Height increases for up to two years after puberty. After that it stagnates. I would suggest you see an endocrinologist to see whether growth hormones will be useful to you. They may work if your bone ends have not fused. Also get your thyroid levels checked.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
