Hello. I am a 31 year old who has suffered with chronic thrush since the age of 14 on and off - but mostly on. I have had intense 3 - 6 month treatments of Fluconazole and Itraconazole which sometimes helps but problem always comes back. have just had a 2 month treatment of itraconazole 200mg twice a day but thrush still there. I have been tested for everything and the only positive is for Candida Albicans and nothing else. Other than thrush I am healthy and fit, not over weight etc. I am at appoint now where I think Doctors may think I am making my symptoms up as they can't believe treatment not making much difference. To live with this on a daily, constant basis is very distressing, demoralising and feels hopeless. Any helpful comments appreciated. I have tried applying yoghurt, strictly avoiding test, sugar etc in my diet but makes no difference in the long term. Hormone bloods always come back ok. A biopsy of the area showed prolific infection in tissues of my skin. Have also seen numerous alternative health specialist but no luck. Pleas whelp, many thanks for your time.
