Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
You require insulin or not that depends on your routine sugar levels and other diseases you have.
Here is the explanation -

1. The treatment you are on usually indicates that you have hypertension and some heart disease also along with diabetes.

2.There are 2 possibilities

(1)You might have uncontrolled diabetes since long which can be evidenced by high HBA1c (more than 8)its a 3 monthly average sugar levels.

(2)In some conditions like heart or kidney diseases insulin works better than other medication.

3.Even if you require insulin ask your doctor if you will require only once a day longer acting insulin preparations. So it will be more suitable for you.

4. Insulin usually don't intrect with the medicines you have mentioned. So you don't need to worry about that.

5.Do your FBS, PP2BS AND HBA1c report every 3 monthly for adequate sugar control.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
