Suggest Treatment To Control Blood Pressure

During the past few months, my mother s blood pressure has been erratically high at least the systolic value ranging from 125 to 190 even 200 however the diastolic value has remained low 65-75. As she struggles with getting the right medications, is it a good sign that her diastolic is does not seem to spike?

Hi welcome to HCM.
I understand your query and concern.
Blood pressure can be controlled through the following therapeutic measures. I advise you to have a baseline 2 dimensional echocardiography,ECG and lipid profile to assess the basic cardiac reserve of your heart.Restrict the intake of salt to less than 6g/day.Regular physical exercise in the form of brisk walk for 20 min a day for 5 days a week is pretty useful.Drugs like antihypertensives and antiarrhythmics will help.Reduce the intake of fatty and fried food. Its absolutely safe to keep diastolic blood pressure under control. Its ideal to maintain blood pressure under 130/80 mm of Hg pressure. One pomegranate a day will help to keep your heart at good pace without clot formation. Consult a Cardiologist for further expert management.Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
