Suggest Treatment For Wrist Pain

hi. I am 35 and noticed a bit of discomfort around my left wrist. I feel like heat and a bit of pain better described like a sting and I feel like if my arm is getting a bit numb with less strength. i noticed a swollen vein, and if I touch it, even very light it hurts. Should I get concerned? Should I call my doctor?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have wrist pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sudden impacts ,oarthritis , rheumatoid arthritis , carpal tunnel syndrome or ganglion cysts. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan . MRI along with physical examination . Doctor may recommend surgical removal or may presccribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy . For now apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
