Suggest Treatment For White Spots On The Legs And Arms
i am 20 years old and I suspect that I have pityriasis alba, I look at the pictures of this skin problem and these are similar to the white spots in my legs and arms.. I am using antifungal soap and cream for 1 month.. But this skin problem already occured when I was 12 and exacerbates last year but I ignored it and only treats it this year. My doctor told me 7 years ago prescribed antifungal cream and it was effective that is why I am using the same cream. I am asking for recommendations in order to avoid exacerbation of this skin problem. thanks.
Pityriasis alba usually occurs on the face in younger individuals and does not involve the legs and arms.
From your history and description, I would consider the possibilities of Pityriasis versicolor, small patch parapsoriasis and white spot disease.
Please get a god evaluation done by a dermatologist and get a skin biopsy done if required to confirm the diagnosis.
The exact treatment will be based on the diagnosis and hence will differ depending on the diagnosis.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
