Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I AM 24 years old everytime i smoke a cigarette I end up vomiting , this is only been going on for a few weeks. I went to the hospital and I had a urinary tract infection now my stools are almost black with a hint of green. I have been vomiting over the past few months some weeks are worse than others. I am NOT pregnant. What could this possibly be?
First of all, smoking stimulates the acid in the stomach and can give you gastritis or ulcer. The black stools could be secondary to old blood in yours stools and that should be evaluated with a colonoscopy and endoscopy. The first step is to stop smoking and second is to see a gastroenterologist to perform the procedures.
