Hello,

You are having a yellow discharge per vagina. Yellow discharge may be a sign of early pregnancy. It can also be due to medical conditions like cervicitis, STIs (such as trichomoniasis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea). You are suggested to get clinically examined by an OBGYN, get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. If reports are positive for STIs, you will be accordingly treated with antibiotics and antivirals. In the meantime, avoid douching, avoid using feminine hygiene sprays, harsh soaps, bubble bath, etc.

You had unprotected intercourse thereafter you had periods but not as usual. If you are on regular CP or emergency CP, you are low risk at getting pregnant but if you were neither on the two, you should get pregnancy test and USG (Uterus with fallopian tubes) done to confirm pregnancy/ectopic pregnancy. If pregnant, the gestational age of the fetus and well being can be detected. Avoid anxiety. Take quality sleep and home made nutritious food. Get examined, get managed at the earliest. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
