Suggest Treatment For Ulcer And Sore Throat

Hello My Husband has had a sore throat for about 4 weeks now. He went to the doctors back then and was told it was a ulcer, so was given penicillin. Still very sore when he swallows. He had a swab test done, but this came back clear. Does a swab test detect cancer?

No, Swab test does not detect the cancer. You need special brush test for this.

Read and understood the problem your husband is suffering from.
The presence of an ulcer and history of sore throat are suggestive that he is suffering from 'Aphthoid ulcer'' Cancer is usually painless.

I would advise you the following.
get an opinion of an ENT surgeon as the visual impression by an Expert ENT can tell you what this may be, can take brush biopsy and sent to see the problem.
You will be given proper treatment.
