Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I find my self always blowing my nose and it s annoying I have been doing it for so long that it s normal to me. Along with the constant nose blowing I am constantly clearing my throat as well as the mucus running through my throat. Is this something to be concerned about?
Hi. If these symptoms have been with you for a long time you may be allergic to something, air, dust, flowers, grass etc.. or you may have something with your uper respiratory tract, which cause that. You will need extra tests and examinations from your allergologist to find out the origin of this concern. All the best for you!

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be sinusitis or allergic rhinitis. It is better to get it examined by an ENT specialist to rule out this. Posterior nasal discharge can cause mucus running through throat also. Constant blowing nose can make sinus aperture blocked and cause sinusitis also. Proper treatment with antibiotics , nasal decongesants , antihistamines and vitamin C will benefit you. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
