Suggest Treatment For Swollen Membrane Under Tongue

The membrane under my tongue is swollen and a couple of days ago was very red. I have been using Total Care Listerine 4-5 times a day, so now they are more white, like an infection. My tongue is sore and feels a little swollen, as do my inner lips. Today I have only been drinking water and used warm salt water to gargle with. That has helped with the pain, but it is still swollen on the membrane under my tongue. Should I see a doctor?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having infected frenulum. If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 3 to 5 days. Hot saline gargling will be helpful. hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
