Suggest Treatment For Sunburn On The Face

I got a really bad sunburn on my face and the next day these yellow scab like things appeared on the parts of my face that got severely burned. The scabs started to peel of and now my face is really dry except for the raw patches of skin where the scabs were. Aloe Vera and water make it worse and I don t know how to treat this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Wash your face twice a day with a hypoallergenic soap. Pat the skin do not rub it. Applying cool compresses several times a day may help. You will also need to use a good unscented moisturizer on your skin like lubriderm or eucerine. The rest just takes time for the skin to heal. Watch for red areas with pus and see a doctor right away if this occurs. Damaged skin is susceptible to infection.
I hope your skin heals soon
