Sunburn. Suggest Effective Product?

I was out in sun in 30 degree heat for a few hours and sync teamed everywhere but my face! My nose got a really bad dose of red sunburn and hasn't faded until I used burn treatment gel now it's a purple tinged scab with red still showing around. Can you suggest an effective product? I have the burn treatment gel with aloe Vera gel! Look forward to your answer! Thank you

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
To treat your skin, please use a sunscreen with good UVB as well as UVA protection daily in morning. Sunscreen use is advised in between 10 Am to 4 PM Apply sunscreen half an hour prior to stepping out and it should be repeated every three hourly. Also use hats, scarves while going out. Sunscreen should be used irrespective of weather condition. Continue application of aloe vera gel to hydrate sun burnt skin.
Now to treat your scabbed area, apply steroid cream twice in a day. You may apply hydrocortisone cream. This would remove the scab and treat the pigmentation too. Residual pigmentation can be treated later on with application of hydroquinone 2 percent cream.
Hope this helped.
