I ve had a sore throat for 4 days. tonsils removed as a child. no fever or odd swelling. Very sore throat and white mucus from my lungs. I m 53 Have not ever experienced this before. Let me know asap if there is a fee involved for an answer, I m going to urgent care if symptoms are not reduced by tomorrow morning. symptoms started Thursday 4 days ago
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection. It could be due to poor immunity of body as well.
Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles and avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get throat swab test and blood tests and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take proper course of antibiotics. Apply mist humidifiers in room. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
