Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Nasal Congestion And Fever

I have took my husband to two different hospitals. There treating him for the flu but never tested him for it and they also said his throat was red but he strep throat test was negative. His systoms have gotten worse and the medicine they gave him is not working, He has a sore throat, where its buring everytime he eats or swollows, Runny nose, bad congested, throwing up, been having a fever of 100, chills all the time. The hospital gave him medicine that they wasn t even sure if it would work or not. which gives great doctors bad name. can you give me any ideas of what he could have and how to help him.

Common causes may be allergy, sinus infection, nasal polyp, rhinitis and deviated nasal septum.
1.     Cefixime 100 mg every 12 hours for 7 days
2.     Levocetirizine 5 mg daily orally for 7 days
3.     Ambroxol 30 mg daily per oral for 7 days
4.     Paracetamol 500 mg orally if fever occurs
5.     Omeprazole 20 mg daily empty stomach in the morning for 15 days
6.     Do gargle with slight warm salt water four times daily
7.     Do not eat heavily at a time. Eat smaller meals
8.     Do not lie down immediately after meal
9.     Avoid dust, smoking, alcohol, dry environment and spicy food
10.     Avoid coffee and tea after meal
