Suggest Treatment For Small Bruises On The Armpit And Elbows

Hello there, I am experiencing bruises here and there under my arms & elbows. Seem strange to me when I never hit myself in such locations. I also have had red spots on top of my feet for several yrs now and on the lower part of my spine like a cluster and brown and red spots kind of look like big age spots under my breasts. Nothing bothers me. Only a slight itch once in awhile on top of my feet or the spine area but nothing bugs me. Any thoughts on what this might be? Thank you for your time.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, you are having a fungal infection called as tinea corporis. My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply an anti-fungal cream like Clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral Fluconazole, Itraconazole, and Terbinafine is taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
