Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath

Hi,
For the past year I have been experiencing shortness of breath when sports drinks such as Gatorade and powerade and also from multi vitamins. The shortness of breath isn't severe, but is very uncomfortable and will remain this way 2 or 3 days.
Please help.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are having shortness of breath on drinking and eating specific things.
So possibility of allergy to these things and related asthma is more likely.
So get done clinical examination of respiratory system, PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) and food allergy test.
If PFT is showing obstructive defect and allergy test identifies foods which are causing allergy then you have to stop taking those foods.
You can take inhaled bronchodilators (levosalbutamol or formoterol) for breathing difficulty.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
