General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Sharp shooting pain in left side of chest can suggest a pain originating due to heart. It will be associated with other symptoms like sweating, palpitations, feeling of impending doom, radiation of pain.
History given is not sufficient however.
Give an antacid like pantop 40, or rabicip 20. Also I would suggest a Pain killer like Dolo (paracetamol) 650 or Combiflam
An ECG test is recommended for persistent pain or worsening symptoms And to rule out hear attack. Sorbitrate 5mg + aspirin 75mg may be given if you are strongly suspecting heart pain. In that case may visit a hospital.
Thank you.
