Suggest Treatment For Sharp Lower Abdominal Pain And Pelvic Pain

Hi I am 22 years old. I have had excruciating pain the last two days in my lower abdomen. It is around my belly button and lower in the pelvic region on both left and right side. I have had these pains for almost a year almost everyday. But last night I thought I was going to end up in the hospital. It has never been this bad it hurts to walk even. I went to the doctors today. They didnt give any suggestions as to help make the pain go away. It is still terrible pain. I did get an ultrasound internal and external. Havent heard anything. But online results show normal. If it is normal, any suggestions, or ideas of what this is? I feel like im dying.

Hello there, thanks for writing in.
Pain in the lower abdomen arises from pelvic organs which are bladder, uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes ( won't cause pain in conditions other than ectopic pregnancy), rectum and anus, appendix ( not a pelvic organ ), and any genital tract infection.
If your scan is not able to detect anything, then do get a urine routine and culture to see if you have any urinary tract infection. Do meet an OB/ GYN who can assess you clinically and look for any signs if endometriosis and pelvic inflammatory disease. But these two conditions require additional tests like laparoscopy and blood tests and few other tests for accurate diagnosis.
Meanwhile, you can take acetaminophen for pain relief. And if pain is severe, needless to say, you must report to emergency room as soon as you can. Hope this information helped. Take care.
