Suggest Treatment For Severe Vaginal Pain During Intercourse

Hello, I ve been experiencing painful intercourse the past 6 months. I had a pap smear and gyno examination, nothing remarkable was found. About 7 months ago, I had BV and a yeast infection, but those have since resolved (per multiple cultures), and the pain/bleeding persists. My gynecologist tells me there is nothing wrong, that it is vulvodynia, and the only treatment is a neurological medication. I never had this issue in the past, and have no other ideas as to what this could be. I did try lube, and the pain was not resolved. I have what I wonder could be a bartholin cyst? It goes away a few days after intercourse- could this be causing the pain? It feels sharp/painful, especially upon insertion. I would really appreciate any input.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Vulvodynia is a condition in which there is neuropathic pain, and it is not relieved by other drugs, lubricant gel etc. You can go for LUNA which is laparoscopic uterosacral nerve ablation, and is done to relieve the chronic pelvic pain.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
