General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi. Sorry to hear about the kid.
Seeing upon your description it seems that the kid is having acid peptic disease.
This is caused by excess production of acid in the stomach and this excess acid causes the symptoms of pain/burning in upper middle abdomen.
It can be treated by the drugs that lower acid secretion from the stomach (proton pump inhibitors like omerprazole or antihistamines like rannitidine). Additionally antacid syrups can be taken for acute relief of symptoms.
So my advice at the moment is to visit a primary physician to get a prescripton.
Wishing you and your loved ones the best of health.
Regards.
