The classic presentation of a triad of fever, joint pain, and rash in a woman of childbearing age should prompt investigation into the diagnosis of SLE. Joint pain is one of the most common reasons for the initial clinical presentation of patients with SLE. Arthralgia, myalgia, and frank arthritis may involve the small joints of the hands, wrists, and knees (usually symmetrical, polyarticular). So these pain that you're encountering may be attributed to SLE.
